Stranded in Des Moines

One more night in the inner west after yesterdays flight to Minneapolis (with connection on to Amsterdam) got canceled. Spent the night at an Inn only a kilometer frm the airport. Enjoyed 9hrs of sleep and now getting ready to go trough all the check in procedures again(!)
…I love travel…. patience is a great gift….

A slow swim didn’t put me in the best position for todays race. From halfway out to the first bouy I got completely hammered and then struggled to recover and make up time. I found myself way behind sitting in the 3rd group – and loosing time. Crap! Can’t belive more girls put the hammer [...]

The last bit of training is done, the course is checked out in detail and the bike is tip top and ready to go. Now we’re just waiting… Waiting to get going, waiting for the allowance to let the body take over and do what it knows best. Waiting for the pain and suffering.
