Not the day I hoped for in Washington

A cramp in the abdominal muscle prevented me from having the perfect day here in Washington DC.  Until the 2nd lap on the run course everything  had unfolded like the plan. Yesterday was just an ordinary day in the mountains. Some hard swimming in the morning, some faster bike in the afternoon followed by a tempo run over a hilly course. Nothing fancy, nothing special, just pure work.

Squeezed in between two massive mountains – inbetween two blocks of racing.
The training phase.
The time for pain and suffering, adaptation and new standards.
Time for waking up hungry at 2:45am, taking the elevator to the first floor and drinking litres of coffee each day. Love it!
